Lamrim Kadampa Buddhist Center
Welcome to Lamrim Kadampa Buddhist Center, founded in 2005 under the guidance of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso; Internationally renowned Buddhist meditation master and scholar. Lamrim Center is dedicated to benefiting people in Iowa by making classes on meditation and Buddhism available in Iowa City, Quad Cities, and throughout the state of Iowa.
Located in Iowa city, Lamrim Center offers meditation classes, day courses, retreats, chanted prayers, and a chance to learn more about the Buddhist way of life. The classes and courses are designed to help those who wish to deepen their understanding of basic Buddhist thought and practice, as well as for those who simply wish to start a meditation practice or meditate within a group setting.
Classes emphasize very simple and practical methods for cultivating positive and peaceful states of mind as well as trying to recognize, reduce, and overcome habitual negative states of mind. Through gaining a deeper understanding of our own mind and how it is the main cause for our daily experience of happiness and suffering, we will gradually begin to solve our problems and find stable and lasting experience of happiness.

Quad City Meditation Class Series Becomes a Regular Class
The six week series of meditation classes in the Quad Cities will now become a regular weekly class. It will still be on Tuesday nights at the Quad City Botanical center, and will now be from 6:45 (15 minutes later) to 8:00pm. More details...
July 24th Potluck
There will be a potluck dinner party on July 24th at 6:30pm. Come bring your best dish to share and enjoy and evening of good food, amazing drinks and great company at Lamrim KBC.
Day Course August 29th: Developing a Meditation Practice
