Lamrim Kadampa Buddhist Center
Lamrim Kadampa Buddhist Center was founded in 2005 as a non-profit organization and member of the New Kadampa Tradition-International Kadampa Buddhist Union. This Buddhist tradition was brought from Tibet to the West by renowned meditation master and Buddhist scholar, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
The purpose of Lamrim KBC is to help people learn practical methods on how to solve their daily problems and to live a happy and meaningful life. Through learning to integrate Buddha’s advice into our lives we can gradually become more and more successful in dealing with the difficulties we all experience. Eventually we will gain the strength and stability of mind to meet with life’s greatest challenges in very peaceful and positive ways.
Lamrim KBC offers introductory meditation classes (in Iowa City and Quad Cities), retreats, workshops, day courses, structured study programs and daily pujas (chanted prayers). Please feel free to visit us any time!
